The Legislative Update informs us on the billions in AI investments for Pennsylvania, as announced at the Pittsburgh Summit. As we await the passing of a budget for Pennsylvania, CCCBI with postpone our July Government Affairs Committee Meeting. If negotiations continue, the July meeting with be postponed and a thorough update will happen at our August 29th meeting. After the Annual Golf Outing at Applebrook Golf Club, we invite you to join us for our famous Surf & Turf Dinner, sponsored by Comcast. This summer, we are hosting our Young Professionals Summer BBQ at Greencastle Consulting. Join us for networking, bbq, beer from Artillery Brewing, cornhole and a special addition, Stick 'Em Axe=Throwing's new mobile axe-throwing trailer. CCCBI is partnering with the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce to present: Women In Government. The Legislative Update informs us on the PA State Budget update that was due on June 30th, and we highlight upcoming events.

We recap last week's Foundation Summer Solstice. It was truly one for the books, with over 150 CCCBI Members, community partners and friends of the foundation. CCCBI and our partners at the Chester County Bar association had an insightful sold out event with PA Attorney General, Dave Sunday, with over 50 attendees. Our Young Professionals Network welcomed three experts for a panel discussion about Millennial Money Moves: Building a Future You Can Actually Afford. The Legislative Update informs us on SEPTA, and how it is not just a Philly issue, but that all of Pennsylvania has a stake in Mass Transit, and we highlight upcoming events.
A special edition of our newsletter, inviting you to our Annual Awards Dinner honoring Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Jack Lynch, President & CEO of Main Line Health since 2005. Hosted at the RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve, CCCBI's Annual Dinner is a signature event that brings together over 300 chamber members to celebrate and connect while enjoying live music, great food, and many networking opportunities.
We welcome new members Duane Morris Government Strategies, Play-a-Round Golf, Libratum Counseling, LLC, and MPS Communications. We hosted our New Member Lunch, sponsored by PEECO - Philadelphia Electrical Equipment Co., where we welcomed almost 40 new members to the Chamber, providing an opportunity to meet the staff, network with fellow members and ambassadors, and learn how to kickstart the benefits of memberships. CCCBI partnered with the Chester County Commissioners and the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) to host Economic Crossroads: Where We Are and Where We're Headed, featuring guest speaker Dr. Mark Zandi, Chief Economist at Moody's Analytics. The event brought together over 100 regional leaders, business owners, and policymakers from CCCBI Memberships and beyond to discuss the evolving local, national, and global economic landscape. This months Business After Hours was a fantastic event, brought together with Citadel and Limoncello. With nearly 60 members and prospective members in attendance, Limoncello provided a beautiful venue and an amazing spread of food for everyone to enjoy. The Legislative Update informs us on the businesses impacted by Route 29 closures, and CCCBI's advocacy on it. Plus, we spotlight the Chester County Food Bank, and highlight upcoming events.

Our Morning Buzz event had an amazing turnout as three CCCBI Members came together at Matlack Florist to host over 50 attendees who enjoyed great weather, refreshing drinks from Cafe Gourmino and delicious breakfast eggrolls from Madi's on a Roll. Our Women Influencing Business: Polish Your Presence, Look Great & Feel Great workshop at White Manor Country Club had an incredible turnout. 50 WIB members participated in a fun and uplifting workshop with style coaches Kristin Argento & Kristen Campbell, founders of Threads of Hershey and authors of Threads Method; Style for Life. We are closed Monday, May 26th in honor of Memorial Day, and will return to our normal business hours on Tuesday, May 27th. The Legislative Update covers Pennsylvania's ongoing involvement in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), as it was debated at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Tuesday, May 13th of this year. Social Media Manager for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Hannah Jay, delivered an insightful talk, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of how to leverage various social platforms and their unique advantages. CCCBI visited HTA Insurance Services brand new location in Exton for a special ribbon cutting ceremony. We hosted a Maximize Your Membership session led by Laura Ellis, designed to help members make the most of their Chamber benefits. We introduce our intern, Coleman Miller, who just started working with CCCBI. The Chester County Chamber Foundation celebrated over fifty high school students at their Youth Leadership Program Graduation Dinner at Penn Oaks Golf Club, and we had an excellent first Business Excellence Awards Luncheon at the Desmond Hotel, where we honored six influential businesses and business leaders within our membership. We introduce our intern, Ella Chiarello, who has been thriving at CCCBI throughout her spring semester. The legislative update covers the coalition letter sent out by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce urging Congress to prevent a backdoor tax increase on American business by preserving the B-SALT deduction as an essential feature of the federal tax system. CCCBI welcomes 40 new members to the Chamber Headquarters for our first New Member Lunch of the year. Nearly 200 women from Chester and Delaware Counties visited the Ivy at Ellis Preserve to network, connect, and shop with local vendors. We celebrate a special ribbon cutting ceremony as Ocean City Coffee Company opened a store in Neumann University's Bachmann Building. CCCBI hosted our first Signature Event of 2025, the State of the County Breakfast with nearly 250 business leaders, public officials and community partners. Within this month alone, CCCBI has had three different events sell out in the weeks leading up to the event date. This year is filled with exciting events that we encourage everyone to register for.
